Our sewing project in Kilinochchi was launched on March 8th with the primary goal of providing a sustainable source of income for 10 mothers in the community. We will teach them the art of sewing and guide them to create various cloth products such as tote bags, pencil cases, bottle bags, table mats, coasters, and scrunchies. Our aim is to empower them to support their families and contribute to the welfare of the community. We're excited to witness the creativity and skills of these talented women as they make beautiful products using locally sourced materials. Last year, we started the Cup of Milk project in Kandy and distributed 10,000 cups of milk to less privileged school children. We then expanded to Nuwara Eliya, Colombo, and Galle, where we were able to distribute another 30,000 cups. We're proud to announce that we have completed the distribution of 40,000 cups of milk in these areas and are now ready to initiate the project in Kilinochchi.
