School Uniform & Shoes

Many children in Sri Lanka have low attendance in school due to the fact that they do not have the needed amount of uniforms to rotate in a week throughout the year or they cannot afford to buy new shoes for the year. Being bullied for your appearance can cause emotional and psychological trauma on a child and that is why it is essential that we make sure that this requirement is full filled for all children.  School uniforms also help students to prepare for when they leave school and may have to dress smartly or wear a uniform once they start working or attend higher education.  Therefore it is essential that we provide the opportunity for children to learn this discipline as well.
